Just received a cheque in the mail from a cus­tomer, a psy­chi­atric clin­ique. I kinda like the nice print with the name of the clin­ique on the same side as “Geezer”.

Think I am back in the old habit of stay­ing up late doing designs and code. Feels quite good to get some work done. Lots of Cokes and loud Drum & Bass at 4 am — guess summer’s over…

And while we’re at it: Don’t for­get The Streets. “Geezers need excite­ment…” — so true…

I’m on day 5 now in try­ing to get my Palm m500 on the inter­net using my GPRS enabled cell phone. It’s incred­i­bly trou­ble­some as I have got no clue what­so­ever whether the prob­lem has to do with my phone, my Palm or my telco. They actu­ally all have spe­cific sup­port on my exact setup. But as you might have guessed noth­ing works. I really don’t want to waste more time but it is so irri­tat­ing hav­ing hard­ware you can’t use. And I can’t fig­ure out why I can’t find any­one who has the same setup as me…

Writ­ing this entry on my lap­top via IrDA and my new GPRS enabled cell. Quite handy for going online when you are really on the move but the con­nec­tion speed is old school, the setup is not as easy as one could hope for and when are you really on the move? Guess I’m still look­ing for­ward to more Wi-Fi antennas.

Some bas­tards broke into my car the other night. The only thing they stole was my old beat up cell phone, so now I’m expect­ing the worst regard­ing pos­si­ble calls made on it after it was stolen… Apolo­gies to peo­ple whom I haven’t answered yes­ter­day. For rea­sons I’m still not sure I under­stand the import for­mat sud­denly worked — per­haps because of the removal of a few spaces here and there… Think­ing of leav­ing my ques­tion at the MT sup­port site up any­way; maybe some­one knows why.

Hav­ing a hard time import­ing my old entries. It appears the import for­mat isn’t cor­rect… How­ever the Mov­able­Type sys­tem is quite easy to set up and is well doc­u­mented. Lots of rel­e­vant infor­ma­tion and guides. Nice one.
